About this event

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is supported by research as an effective modality for treating trauma and stress responses for which trauma survivors of the event of May 7 and all those who endure anxiety may be more susceptible.

These stress reduction exercises are foundational practices for managing the physical stress response and triggered anxiety responses, which result from traumatic experiences.

The goal of providing several simple skills is that participants will have the opportunity to practice each skill and find one or more that is effective for them.

This psychoeducation presentation is not a substitute for, but instead intended as an adjunct to, traditional trauma- informed therapy.

While the purpose of this event is to promote healing and wellness, there is always the potential for any presentation or material to unknowingly create a stressor that a participant may find overwhelming.

This presentation is not intended to serve as crisis intervention or to replace formal mental health services.
